Old Tools, New Tricks: Leveraging Novel and Existing Strategies in Antimicrobial StewardshipDate: 11.19.26 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The principles of antimicrobial stewardship remain the same: right drug, right time, right dose, and the right duration. However, newer strategies in antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship promise to optimize antimicrobial therapy and prevent unnecessary prescribing. Join us to review the basics, explore cutting-edge stewardship interventions, and hear more about statewide initiatives to reduce utilization of antibiotics posing the highest risk of C. difficile infection.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is partnering with MASS-PACT and CDC to offer this opportunity for continuing education (CE) during U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week, November 18-24. CDC will provide CME/CE credit for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and pharmacists. CE is only available to live participants; this webinar will not be recorded. Instructions for acquiring CE will be shared at the end of the webinar. See available CE details below.
