Antibiotic Stewardship

Antibiotic Start Reporting Program

Antibiotic Tracking is a CDC Core Element of Antibiotic Stewardship. In 2018, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) developed the antibiotic start reporting program to help long-term care facilities assess their antibiotic use.

In return for entering monthly antibiotic start data, participating long-term care facilities will receive quarterly benchmarking reports that show how your facility's antibiotic start rates compare with those of other reporting facilities.

Any long-term care facility in Massachusetts can begin reporting monthly antibiotic start data to MDPH at any time here.
